Before Edu-Aid’s intervention in National Primary School, the toilet facilities for students and teachers alike were in a bad state of disrepair and not suitable for human use. Edu-Aid has given the toilets a major overhaul including floor tiling, installation of toilet units and provision of running tap water for flushing and hand washing.
A significant observation during the needs assessment exercise in National Primary School was the total absence of simple playground equipments like swings, merry-go-rounds and slides, which are taken for granted in private schools. Edu-Aid has purchased and supplied playground equipments to the school which has thrilled the school children to no end. This has definitely added to their personal growth and development as their playtime has never been so enjoyable.
